Hey! Champagne toast to you! Good job for finishing! I thought Mark recommended taking a week off...but I could be wrong. Onwards and upwards to the 1st class!

Congratulations on finishing!

I started week 6 yesterday and by reading your blog I know what's coming!

I have to look for differences in the mirror. There is a little more definition compared to when I started but if I gained muscle it is not enough to read it on the scales.

WOHOOO, seems like I've got more viewers than the Apollo 11 moon landing  ! Thanks folks. So, on we go to the 1st class program.

---------------------- START OF THE 1st CLASS PROGRAM ------------------------------

Week 1 (18) - Day 1 : Complete

Remark: Military presses have poor form.

Difficulty Rating: 9/10

Comment: Well, this was the first day, and it sure was tough. The push-ups were ok, but the military presses were not. I did all the reps, but they looked more like push-ups than they should. If I put my body at a right angle, I don't seem to have enough strength to push. Maybe I would for a couple of them, but not the whole ladder... :( Well, on we go, and hope we grow and get strong in the mean time :D !

could it be that your form is not as good as usual because you need a rest? Isn't there suppose to be a week break between the two levels?

I agree with Cec, the week of rest is really very important, your body is resting and recovering from all the exercise it's done in the past 2 1/2+ months and an entire week gives it ample time to repair and rebuild all the muscles, not just one muscle group at a time. It may very well be affecting your form if you have not given your body enough time to adjust to the workload increase.

Week 1 (18) - Day 2: Complete

Remark: Did all the reps. RDLs still have bad form.

Difficulty Rating: 8/10

Comment: Well, moderate intensity day. Don't really like Toyotas though...

---------

@Cecilia and ChrisS, I too agree with you, but , if you look at the dates in my log, I repeated the undulating block in about... a month and a half... I took like 2-3 days of rest in between. So it was more than enough. I don't really want to take another week off, because, due to the sloppy way I repeated the undulating block, I already felt out of shape, specially regarding push-ups. Also, I will not be repeating the undulating block, from now on, as I see no point in it. It's more manual labor and less exercise...

Week 1 (18) - Day 3 : Complete

Remark: Did all the reps.

Difficulty Rating: 8/10

Comment: Ah, so good to be back on track. This was a somewhat moderate day, the push-ups are finally looking as they should, with the chest all the way down, controlled movement both up and down. With military presses, however, it's a whole different issue. I don't have the necessary hamstring mobility, in order to form a right angle with my legs and upper body...so the military presses look like push-ups with an arched body. They work the hands and shoulders, no doubt, but they don't look like they should... :( As a side comment, this is week 18 since I started the program, that's 4 and a half months :D And it feels so good. Well, see ya next time! ;)

Week 1 (18) - Day 4 : Complete

Remark: Did all the reps. RDL's finally start to look like they should.

Difficulty Rating: 6/10

Comment: Yesterday's workout....forgot to put it in the log. It was a pretty easy day, so not too many comments about it. Happy that RDL's finally seem to work, although they're still far away from their correct form.

Week 2 (19) - Day 1 : Complete

Remark : Did all the reps. Military Presses still have poor form...

Difficulty Rating: 8/10

Comment: Nothing special. Since I've started the program, I've noticed that my arms are bigger, chest is bigger, legs are bigger, the core is identical to what it was at the beginning. For this reason, I'll include a 5th day (except in the undulating block) , dedicated to working the core.
